Nick Schwendeman, CPM, is a native of Lexington, Kentucky, and a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in Business Administration. He serves on the Board of Directors of The Webb Companies. He worked in the Hospitality Industry for six years with Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Radisson Hotel Corporation. He began his career in real estate with The Webb Companies in 1983 as a property manager. He earned the Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management. Nick later became Vice President-Property Management, where he managed the daily operations of a real estate portfolio consisting of office/hotel space, retail space, condominiums and parking facilities. He was appointed to the position of Facilities General Manager for the Administrative Office of the Courts of the Commonwealth of Kentucky in December 1996. In addition, he was appointed to serve on the Capital Planning Advisory Board, which reviewed capital project requests from all agencies of state government. Nick rejoined The Webb Companies as Senior Vice President-Asset Management in January, 2000, and manages a real estate portfolio comprising nearly one million square feet of office space, retail space and parking facilities. He is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management, and the local Chapter of IREM, where he has served as Chapter President for five years, along with other serving in other chapter officer positions. Nick was named Regional Vice President of the Institute of Real Estate Management for 2003 and 2004 serving chapters in the states of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia. Nick currently serves the Institute on a national level as Chair of the Income & Expense Advisory Board, as a member of the Ethics & Discipline Committee, a member of the Ethics & Discipline Hearing Board, and a member of the Student & Academic Outreach Advisory Board. He is also an Institute Affiliate member of the Lexington Bluegrass Association of Realtors, and holds a Kentucky real estate sales associates license. He resides in Lexington with his wife Lynda, and has two sons, David and Patrick. | |||||||
